Support Leadership Montana

Leadership Montana is a collaboration of business leaders, community members, higher education and government professionals coming together to form a strong partnership for the betterment of Montana. Our program offers participants a unique experience that develops strong leadership skills and personal, professional growth. Participants gain a deeper awareness of issues affecting our state, build powerful connections with their classmates and join a network of over 400 committed alumni who live and work throughout Montana.

Leadership Montana is a privately funded not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our sponsors and donors are investors in Montana’s future prosperity and directly impact the work of our program participants and alumni.

Leadership Montana is the premier leadership development organization in our state. Through our annual program, we bring together some of the most accomplished minds of our state to learn more about Montana and the issues facing us today. Once our participants complete the program, they join our alumni organization consisting of the state’s most influential professionals. To date, there are more than 400 graduates of the program representing over 50 communities across the state. Leadership Montana alumni serve in key leadership positions in businesses, education, government, healthcare, and non-profit organizations and truly are making a difference for Montana. From City Hall to the halls of the Capitol — and in board rooms and classrooms across the state — our graduates are making communities better by using the skills they’ve learned in Leadership Montana. An investment in Leadership Montana is an investment in the future of our great state.

Montana, and the issues facing the state are incredible. Leadership MT explores those issues in a manner which immediately enables its participants to engage in the discussion and empowers them to take responsibility in addressing the issues. The cohort of members in each class, and in other classes for that matter, learn to treat each other and these issues facing the state with the manner of stewardship it requires to successfully provide leadership. It must be mentioned that lasting networks and friendships are built through Leadership MT and I have and continue to look forward to using that network to find partners, and opponents, for the issues I find important and meaningful for the state of MT.
—Todd Buchanan, Buchanan Capital, Montana Board of Regents
"People have recognized a change in me, they have seen a spark, that something is different, a different attitude.[My classmates] are 37 people I really needed in my life, and I didn't know it . . . I cannot say enough good things about Leadership Montana. It's the people, the business leaders who come to talk with our group, the leaders . . . it has exceeded my expectations."
—Amber Sundsted
